Just when you thought you'd got it all clear, it gets confusing again.
Backstory:
I booked a an iten NCE-ZRH-SIN-BKK-SYD-BKK-FRA-BRS. Outbound ticketed on LX (B class), return ticketed on LH (B class). Get the receipt through, and it's showing fare basis BSWICFR and BFFGB as I'd expect. Fine. Booked onto TG993 BKK-SYD and LH9745 (TG codeshare) SYD-BKK.
Then checkmytrip shows me I'm booked in S class (50% miles) on TG993 but B class (150%) on LH9745 (op by TG). This makes me a bit cross, as it cuts my earning down by 4,021 miles. So I knock an e-mail off to LX to ask them to book me into B class on TG, or at least confirm I'll get 150% miles.
Here's the reply from M&M:
The allocation of miles is based on the paid seating class which is printed on the ticket or passenger receipt. If you paid for B class for your Thai Airways ticket, you will receive 150% of the actually flown miles, if you paid for S class, you will receive the entitlement of 50% of the actually flown miles.
Now, that seems to be different to what we've all concluded here. Discuss.
