What is really needed is a "do not disturb"/"OK to wake" sticker. I believe these still exist on some carriers/routes, though they used to be more common.
As I recently was cleaning out "stuff" at home, I found several of these stickers in my airline memorabilia. From what I remember, LH offered them in F back in the 60s and 70s. Not sure what other airlines.
