Not sure which machine you used, but the height at which transaction components are mounted in payment kiosks is strictly governed by the Disability Discrimination Act - They must be mounted so that a wheelchair user can use them. The regulations just got tighter too. The zone where components can be mounted is now between 700mm and 1200mm off the floor...

This can mean that components will seem lower than they need to be for tall(er) users.

Not sure if this is relevant to your situation - but there we are....

The requirements around (and availability of) the components used for putting in your pin mean that it would be difficult to put in your pin from the main screen. This is normally done on a separate device (with its own display) as you describe....

The problem sounds as if it is the software on the main screen that should direct you to the smaller screen is the problem. It should be clearer. It may be worth contacting NEX about this....
