This sounds like a camera that I would be happy with. I have been traveling with a pocket sized Sony DSC T-100. I want more wide angle and telephoto ability than I get with my pocket camera, but weight is a big consideration for me because of a bad shoulder. An upcoming trip to Alaska and a trip to Africa have me looking for a light weight camera with these features.

Do you carry this over your shoulder on a strap, or would it fit in a lady's purse? If not, what camera bag do you recommend?
