Beware how future flight changes affect today's flight.

One of my future DONE4 flights was canceled. Since this flight was for December and since what AA had proposed on-line at AA.looked reasonable, I decided I would not worry about it until I got back home.

I was surprised that LHR had a big problem checking me in for my current AA USA inbound flight even though nothing on it had changed on it.

They couldn't exactly see what happened, but my guess that AA RTW had put the ticket on-hold pending re-issuing / printing.

FYI My ticket is a paper printed ticket.

My suggestion is to call the RTW desk as soon as anything of substance (i.e. routing) changes on your itn. If I had had a tight connection I would have been in trouble since it took the lead supervisor at least 30 minutes of typing.
