I use nail clippers to cut the zip lock ties I use to keep the zipper on my check-in luggage closed. The gate agent in HNL had to put it on after TSA finished with the bomb sniffing of my bags since I couldn't touch my bags again.

I did overhear one of the another passenger asking the porter how he would keep his bag closed if he couldn't lock it. The porter answered that he (the porter) could put on a "tie" on his bags after the TSA inspection. Maybe some porters are carrying around cable ties for the customers?
