How about UA and other airlines stop sucking up the federal government and get their heads back on, allowing customers to carry scissors on planes? The only security system needed onboard is reinforced cockpit doors. Add that with air marshals, and stewardesses blockading cockpit doors with beverage carts during cockpit meal service, and no one even has a chance to use their leatherman.
