locked baggage

A customer this week had a complaint that was unique to me. I'm curious to know if anyone here has had a similar experience.

She arrived in IND late in the evening and went to her hotel. After dinner, she retired to her room to discover that there were zip-locks (hard plastic variety) through the zipper eyelets on her bag. For obvious reasons, she had nothing in her carry-on to cut the zip-lock with and couldn't get into her bag. She ended up dragging her bag to the lobby and having the night manager cut it for her.

The odd thing to her was that she didn't have locks on her bag to begin with and there was a notice inside her bag that stated her bag was manually searched.

Although I forwarded her complaint to mgmt., you may want to check your baggage before departing the airport so that we can cut the zip-lock for you.

Anyone have a similar experience?
