Can I use a Visa Gift Card in Italy?
mrs pbiflyer is headed to Italy, and I want to give her $$ to buy something special for herself.
Since I really don't want to do an exchange for euros here (though with the plummeting $, that might not be a bad idea), and I don't want her carrying large amounts of cash, I was thinking of getting her a Visa gift card.
But can you buy one in the US and use it in Italy. Or can I get a Euro version?
That would actually be the best, as I assume the dollar will just sink further in the upcoming months.
