The postings on the AA board sound like some I read here 5-6 months ago. AMR's stock today is down close to 24% under $4. Think they'll get more help from the govt? W's from TX.

AMR Corp.(NYSE:AMR - News) Chief Financial Officer Jeff Campbell said on Wednesday he resisted the idea that a bankruptcy at American Airlines was inevitable.

"I very strongly resist the chain of thought that says it is inevitable now that US Air and United have gone into bankruptcy that American must," Campbell said in a conference call with reporters. "We are blunt in ... saying, to sustain our company, we have got to lower our labor and other costs. But I honestly believe we can find a way to do that."
