Canadian fuel surcharge is now $30, $40, or $55 per one way flight (previously 20, 30, 45).

I know many around here don't seem to care, but I'm all for the government enacting the legislation they passed last year and forcing the airlines into ALL INCLUSIVE pricing.
Doesn't lower the total tab by a dollar, and if fuel goes down, it's easier to pressure the airlines to lower the surcharges. I know people want to vent at somebody, anybody, for the rising price of fuel - it impacts a wide range of things in our lives. But I am hoping that instead of venting we take positive action, like slowing down our cars on the highway to the equivalent of 55 miles per hour. That's not only a positive way to screw OPEC, your oil company, Hugo Chavez, Vladimir Putin, the lunatics running Iran, the xenophobes running Saudi Arabia and the thieves running Nigeria, it's good for the environment and puts money back in your pocket.
