The primary air service that I look for is traveling from point A to point B. Whether I get a meal or drink is of very little meaning to me. Of course, I travel flights in the 2 - 2 1/2 hour range. If I really want a meal, I will book a flight meeting the travel duration and meal time slot. Otherwise, I can get something to eat on the way to the airport or in the terminal.

The only service that the Southwest model scares me is the point to point hopping. I appreciate the hub & spoke model, especially out of Denver. I can get a direct flight to most of the cities I have to travel to. Otherwise, I am connecting at ORD, SFO, IAD or LAX. While the additional segments are nice when connecting (I do occassionally add segments to secure 1K in lean years), I would rather fly direct meaning less time in the air for me.

BTW, avek00, how often do you fly and what is your Onepass level. I posed this type of question in the past and you have ducked it. Please let us know because inquiring minds want to know.

Currently, I am a Platinum Elite, but will drop down to Silver at the commencement of the 2003 Elite year.
