Which terminal does US fly into at LHR and what are the options for getting from LHR into London? We've got Oyster Cards, so we're debating between that or the Heathrow Express. What are people finding is the better option? How long is the usual transit time? What are the nuances at LHR which one should be aware of when transiting to/from LHR?

Thanks in advance for your insights.

I like the Heathrow Express but it is more expensive than the tube and it can also depend on where you are going in London. I think the HEX is only about 15 minutes from LHR to Paddington and it is quite comfortable. I always splurge on a first class ticket on the HEX and always get a nice seat but most of the time coach on the HEX is fine also. Paddington can have a fairly long queue for taxis at some time of the day, although you can also transfer to the tube there.
