I think OP deserves more respect for his/her pursuit for justice (in OP's viewpoint at least), and more importantly, WILLINGNESS to share with us. If you don't like OP's approach/viewpoint, you can voice your views but there's no need to be sarcastic/offensive. We are all more civilised than this.
I'm quite surprised that SQ chose to ignore the OP instead of giving some compensation to close the case, even they didn't really want to do it but did it out of goodwill (UA does that rather well I think..). Having to go to the court for a single passenger/ticket, from a corporate perspective, isn't that smart/economical is it?
Actually, there is a more complete "back story", that I won't go into, other than to state that I'm quite certain I cost SQ a lot more time and money than they expected. They rightfully assume all passengers are lambs, and not real smart... most of the time, that is probably true. I would like to think they underestimated my persistence. I hope I cost them a lot of money, but that's calculated into the fares as "the cost of business". They know a certain small percentage will take them to court, all calculated into their fares. Yes, it's a miniscule amount, but it's factored in.
I regret that I won't share the exact judgement, but I remind readers that it isn't necessairly any or all a financial sum owed me, and is more likely, at least in part, an ORDER from the Judge for them to DO SOMETHING for me.
