St. Louis Airport Hilton Trip Reviews

My wife and I stayed for a night at the St. Louis Airport Hilton and we'd rate it in the bottom 3 of the scores of Hiltons on all six continents where we've stayed. Took a good 45 minutes for the shuttle to show up to take us (along with a bunch of other customers) to the hotel. When I called the hotel to find out what was going on it took two calls and more than 30 rings to get anyone to answer the phone. When we finally got to the hotel there seemed to be no bellhops on duty to help with luggage. The hotel is kind of a maze with little stairs and ramps just to get to the elevator from the front desk so a bellhop would have been appreciated. When we got to our floor we ran into four pilots who joked about how they were lost and couldn't find their room so I wasn't the only one who found it a maze. I was told the hotel is 35 years old and it looks like it has not been renovated since it was built. The long hallways have a dingy feel to them. Rooms are nothing special. One thing I found illuminating was that in most Hiltons there is a welcome letter from the hotel management with a phone number to call if there is anything management can do to make the guests stay more enjoyable. I searched for such a letter in my room but there wasn't one. When I was checking out I asked if a manager was available so i could express my disappointment with the hotel. I was told they were all in a meeting.

The most positive thing about the stay was the buffet breakfast, which is free to Diamonds and was very good.
