For US residents with a Premier card, they need 35 paid nights to maintain elite status. If they decide to stay that much, it won't be a future dilution.
I am still aiming for lifetime Platinum status. I am getting close to about 450 lifetime nights and about 1.2 million points.
I am at 28 nights right now and scheduled 10 nights to go. I used BA Gold to speed up but I will make at least Gold (w/o Premier card).
Where does one check their lifetime status?
