No, the paying customer would not. Both are, in fact and law, paying customers.
And, someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but the general consensus here seems to be that both cash paying, and award redeeming customers are treated equally bad by Singapore Airlines.
And if someone has information that a status "OK" confirmation whether in first, business, executive economy or regular economy, whether on a paid or award ticket, is any different in any classe or type of ticket, please quote where SQ puts it in their contract of carriage. It might be useful in the next lawsuit.
