IMHO especially Travelocity's etc. gay marketed sites are terrible and absolutely zero interest for me.

Same for me.
In general I have found the Spartacus guide to provide the basics (obviously copied from various websites). Normally if I go to a city where I haven't been before I check out the usual chats for up to date scene info.
