You obviously have no experience with toddlers. OP may have very well believe that the child was ready for a commercial flight and obviously was well prepared (DVD players usually work well at this age) but sometimes things don't go as planned. Airline is required to to fly people - regardless of age or disability - under applicable federal laws. Better learn to deal with it.

Guess you have never sat next to a screaming infant. You can complain all you want, but there's nothing that can or will be done to resolve the "issue".

I hope OP returns back with Alaska's response and is not dissuaded by the lack of sympathy on FT. We are scheduled to fly with a toddler in F in a couple of weeks and AS will be looking at a civil rights lawsuit if the FAs start harassing us (though junior has always been treated well on each of his 45 flights on other carriers )
