I really do not see where AS is at fault. Looks like you are trying to blame them for your lack of foresight and your daughters misbehavior.

I don't think she's trying to blame AS for her daughter's behavior, she's addressing the FA's behavior. Which i too find crazy. What's the point of the lecture and the FAA whatever form? Is the toddler now a known enemy of the state? Should we order some Patriot Act surveillance on her? Maybe arrest her? (Teach that toddler a lesson!!!). Humiliating the mom in the seat with the public talk is icing on the cake. I'm sure the FA's feels vindicated now.
The fact is, even if you say the OP totally screwed up by not buying a seat and the daughter deserves a time out, the FA response is still out of touch with reality.
