W Chicago Lakeshore
I stayed at the W Chicago Lakeshore just this past May. After a day of siteseeing, I was tired and in need of a sugar free redbull before venturing out again. I went to the bar in the lobby, but they didn't have redbull. When I got up to my room, I checked the minibar. No redbull. So I decided to press the Whatever/Whenever button on the phone. The woman who answered asked me if I would like some Monster energy drink instead. I said no thank you, I only like sugar free redbull. She said "ok, we'll get you some." Less than 30 minutes later there was a knock at the door. They delivered 3 cans of cold sugar free redbull. I was expecting a ridiculous charge on my bill for the effort, but when I checked out I noticed the charge was under $9. I didn't think that was so bad considering how expensive a bottle of Voss water is in the room... and those are not even cold!
During the same trip, I also pressed the Whatever/Whenever button for a wakeup call. The next morning I was woken up on time, was given the weather report for the day, was told "remember to take your sunglasses, its bright outside" and was asked if I wanted to order breakfast.
All in all, I think Whatever/Whenever rocks! ^ But maybe it was just the W Chicago Lakeshore. Service the entire trip was top notch. ^
