You'll definitely be hit with a change fee if you call to make the change now. SDC is only available within 3 hours of the new flight, so you're outside that window, too.

You could try the "we got lost in the airport/fell asleep/got drunk in the bar" excuse and see if they let you on the later flight, and the likely would, but it is a reasonably large risk to take.
