On a recent return leg from CDG to IAD the audio jack on my seat was pushed into the armrest. FA stated that nothing could be done, so I dis-assembled the armrest and plugged the headphones in to the jack, which was functional but would not stay seated in the opening in the armrest. Re-assembled the seat and had audio for the trip.
FA referred to me as McGuyver for the remainder of the flight.
On a seperate note - I've had more problems with overhead lights out on Delta than on UA, and never have had it fixed. Best option was to change seats.
