After 3 years of EXP, last year I came up 30k short of requalifying. As it has been a long time since I was plain old PLT, I have been struggling with the transition my symptoms include:

Dismay over lack of electronic upgrades in my bank
Shock at being told there would be a charge for a seat request on OW partner
Saddness when I get the PLT desk instead of the EXP desk
Frustration watching my name get pushed down on the upgrade list at the airport by EXPs
Longing for access to the Flagship Lounge vs. Admirals club


This is all further complicated by my Plat for life status which has reduced my desire to focus on AA as the mile challenge seems to be either EXP or nothing. True enough I could try for the PLT bonus thing but a few extra electronic upgrades seems trivial.

Any other folks going through this? Other symptoms I should watch out for?
