I guess it would have been to difficult for them to take the tax, denominated in US$ instead of having me pay the tax in Thailand, in Thai baht to have it then converted, at a 3% increase, to US$'s, but that's United with an agent probably schooled in India or better yet, Bangladesh!

I've ticketed several award tix departing from various parts of the world, and never had a problem with paying the taxes with US issued credit card.
