Does anyone else come from a family that shares this concern? I suppose it's mom's way of checking that I haven't lost my sense of decorum in specific settings, though from the look of air travel today most people don't accord it a lot of respect or consider it anything special. I still like to think -- 10 million FFMs later -- that air travel is a special experience. I also think that people approach a situation, like a flight, differently when dressed with thought for the occasion. Today, it looks like a "come as you are" party. Maybe there is something to "show respect, get respect".
And maybe you are just another passenger, no matter what clothes you wear. I'm the guy in a t-shirt and shorts sitting next to you in J.
