I've bought quite a few UA/CO/DL NYC-EZE tickets for ~$9K+ That's a normal full-fare business class ticket to South America. Heck, there are times when I've been unable to purchase ANY C/J class tickets to EZE on UA/CO/DL/AA within a week of travel even willing to pay the exorbitant costs.
