The Rome Airport Hilton accepts pets. It is about a 5 to 7 minute walk from the terminal. Dont' know if they have day rates, but 15 hours sounds like a normal reservation to me.

One add'l observation (perhaps more appropriate in the traveling w/pets forum) it is really risky to be on a different flight than your pet when that flight involves a transfer.
