Ditto: the last thing you want on your honeymoon is a misconnect for a flight on a different PNR.

FWIW, last year I did LHR-LAX-LHR on BA with an Amex 2-4-1 and a nested LAX-PPT-LAX on TN, and built in 24 hours in LA to avoid a possible misconnect.
