Through-checked luggage and cancelled flight

My luggage was checked-in for FRA-LCY-DUS (same day journey today). Unfortunately LH cancelled the evening flight LCY-DUS.

Anybody any great ideas whether I can get hold of my luggage here in London (me was rebooked to LH4779 from LHR)? SEN line does not feel responsible, LH luggage service has no clues "No, we can't help you, try the SEN line."

Or is it impossible to get access to it - which would mean that I'll have to wait for it to arrive somewhere in the next days.

Naturally no one at LH thought of putting my bags onto the afternoon flight ex LCY.
