I've wondered about this frequently each time I go through LAX. One of the listed benefits of PLT over Gold is that you are entitled to use the F check-in lines, rather than the J check-in lines, at the airport. Yet, at the LAX check-in counters, the lines are designated so that only EXPs may use the F lines, while both GLD and PLT are listed on the J lines (which are often much longer).

Has any PLT tried to use the F line at check-in and been rebuffed? Or has anyone seen this happen?
