It looks like my travels in the next month will take me through a couple of large US cities that have Chinese consulates. As the nearest consulate to my home is a 2 1/2 hour drive, it would be easier to stop into one of these other offices while on the road. Among the myriad of Chinese visa rules, is there any geographic requirement, or as an American can I get my Chinese tourist visa processed at any of their consulate offices in the U.S.?
