I too travel with one of those Monster Outlets-to-go like georgestr. It does have a blue led in the plug but it does work on 240V. I checked with Monster beforehand to make sure the higher voltage wouldn't fry the light & have subsequently used it in Oz & Ireland.

Very cool to travel with only a single foreign plug adapter.

Just make sure that your devices can handle 110-240 50/60 Hz.
