You did a lot more than stick up for a "clueless pax." In fact, I wouldn't necessarily refer to a nice grandmotherly type as clueless.

What you did, my friend, is perform a good deed, and one that we all should try to do. You didn't let a nice older woman get bullied by an arrogant a$$. What you did, my friend, is send out good karma vibes, and I can assure you, this will come back to benefit you. I can't say where or when, I but I really and truly believe that it will.
