I was a gold, dropped back to silver last year... but have stayed 27 nights in the last six months... usually stay for about 2- 4 nights, have been upgraded 4 times, so maybe 40% hit rate... to be fair, upgraded rooms have often not been available (sold out- I checked the web site!) I have not been offered any other fast track back to Gold, despite asking nicely.. but then didn't really expect to!!
