It used to be that upgrades was the most important perk for elite fliers. Especially with the added extra service/meal, etc. Now this:

So I think it maybe time to throw in the towel and switch, given that upgrades do not seem to mean much anymore.
It's not that we're spoiled, it's just that there really does not seem to be any point to stick around with UA anymore.
Especially when I could say... take a fun flight with JetBlue and experience better service and cheaper fares instead of worrying if I'll make 1K again if I take that "other" discount airline.
Just my 2 cents. I am just rather confused as to why UA is turning away many customers here. I think they will lose business and people will not be loyal to them anymore.
We know the ultimate objective is to save $$$$, but I think they will lose more $$$$ with service downgrades such as this.
So what is next?
