Just remember to ALWAYS add the license plate of the rental car to your ez-pass account. That's saved me a billion times since each toll plaza has different speed limits and different sensitivities to the various transponders.
I carry on my ez-Pass transponder all the time, especially when I park in a place like Avistar at LGA. Never had a problem.

I've never added the license plate of my rental car to my ez-Pass account. Is that easy to do?
