I'm going to vote against you on this one if you've got any tall people in the group. I'm 6'3", and with the seat all the way back, only a child would fit comfortably behind me - there's maybe 6" from the seatback to the rear seat.
Also, on the gas mileage, I went back to my gas receipts, and those numbers match (24mpg for about 60% freeway, 40% city)...and I'm hard on the gas pedal.
