I agree with the logic posted above regarding the duration of the relationship. Wait and see is the best strategy for now. As for the card, I took advantage of the Presidential Plus card since I travel a lot, charge all travel on tht card (double miles) and have had a P-club membership forever. The benefits justify the cost for me.
