I wouldn't leap to the conclusion that the DL/CO relationship is immediately doomed, at least not in the immediate future. Still, if you want to start picking up CO miles the only option is the Chase card. There are a couple versions of the card, and based on the travel pattern you've described the regular card seems a better deal than the Presidential Plus card. The annual fee is $85 (I think).
