They are being cheap. Since a csase of wine is conventionally understood to contain 12 bottles, if they were you offering you a mini-case, they should have specifically referred to it a a cace of 3 bottles...really, it's just 3 bottles in a box...I am surprised you didn't inquire as to what the win e was...3 bottles af Lafite Rothschild is pretty different than 3 bottles of house chardonnay.
