Hi,
I'm going to travel on the route of TLV-FRA-SFO back and fourth in the next few months. When I try to book a flight, I usually get the TLV-FRA segment by Lufthansa (which is the only airline in the *A that flys on this route) but then, my FRA-SFO only options are with United flights operated by Lufthansa. I wonder if it's because of the first segment which is LH flight or not; I prefer of couse to fly a non-code-share flight (flight number with 3 digits) and have an upgrade rather then sit at the back of LH a/c.
How can I set the ual.com website to find me flights that are genuine United? Is it more expensive if I start my segment with LH and then use United on FRA-SFO (or even FRA-IAD-SFO or FRA-ORD-SFO - all of them are available at that day).
p.s. it's not only united booking system that gives me those flights, Amadeus, Sabre and others also combine LH flighs with LH-operated flights.
