All can be very stimulating !!!

However I tend find that there is a more relaxed atmosphere at XXL and / or Backstreet - the former moreso than the latter. Personally I find it easier to strike up a conversation with strangers in XXL than in The Hoist. But if you are a buffed muscle mary, then you should have no problem in The Hoist. Muscle Mary and buffed are not words that I would use to describe myself !!

Totally agree with the suggestion to start off at the Kings Arms ^^^
