Yes its possible no seats are available and often reported here on FT. LAN release very few seats in the *ONE* classes (A-D-L). You can find different availibilty on SCL-AKL & SCL-SYD on the same day and on the same aircraft. Seems to better for SCL-SYD, but a back track is then needed to get to NZ (which in OK on *ONE4). QF code share with LA on SCL-AKL-SYD route, so try both QF & LA.
QF have announced they are starting
Sydney - Auckland- Buenos Aires flight (SYD-AKL-EZE) on 24 Nov 08, so this is another option.
