I think most of these 'no photography' for 'security' reasons rules are inspired from the legacy of a more primitive age when it would have been information of at least some value. In today's world outright banning of photography is more likely to result in a lack of effective scrutiny of procedures and defenses, than of any over scrutiny of them.
