I do need to add that is the first time on FT that I have seen the above usage.
I have, to date, only seen the term ".bomb" is used to specifically refer to the United Airlines website which apparently has always had severe functionality problems. When you are at a FT dinner thousands of miles from home and someone talks about an extremely favorable UA fare to get there, the first question at the table usually is "did you really find that on .bomb?"
