From my standpoint, all things being equal, which they never are, I am happy that there is no UA US merger. I would hate to lose PHX as headquarters for a major company. Who knows what would have happened to our hub if the two airlines merged????

In a perfect world, a CO and UA alliance with all three domestics being part of Star would have tremendous advantages to us US travelers....
I don't see why US, UA and CO cannot co-exist in a single alliance if NW, DL and CO could...

There's more overlap between the three domestic SkyTeam carriers than there would be between the three Star carriers if CO joined Star...
