Hotness and delayness...SPG.com now lists an opening date of October 1, 2008. I hope they're up and running by March 09 when I plan to be there.
According to a mail from their reservation desk, opening is still August 1st.
"my apology for the confusion and we are still aiming to open the hotel in the month of August and the date that show on our website, is represents the date on which online bookings can be accepted and guaranteed. At this point, we are only taking tentative reservation for the month of August and September on a tentative basis and official confirmation number will be sent at a later stage"
