Spending 250K within a 12 months period (or less) does not automatically bring you a Centurion card.
1) Nobody in their right mind should let "a buddy" be an additional cardholder on one's account for the purpose of earning Centurion qualificaiton.

2) I believe that many (perhaps, the majority) of centurion card holders have low-mid six figure incomes. Where is the demographic data for Black Ink magazine? Pass-through spending for business expenses is how these people (low six figure income) manage to spend $250K.

I am not sure why, but the buddy pass-through spending is crazy, while the business pass-through spending is smart.
