Well, I plan on going to either Tel Aviv, Dubai, Cairo, or Istanbul for my next trip. Will be there July-12-16.
I like to see new things, and I like being somewhere totally unique and different from what I'm used to in the USA.
I am 20 years old, will be traveling alone, and staying in hostels. The lower the budget the better, but costs are really not too important.

I am looking for somewhere with decent nightlife, and enough things to occupy my day. A beach wouldn't be bad either. History and architecture (modern or historic) are important as well.

I suppose I should add that I only speak English.

Based on this and your previous experiences, what would you recommend?
